Biomedical Image Segmentation and Classification
Biomedical Image Segmentation and Classification
Biomedical Image Segmentation and Classification(BIOMISC), is a project which aims to assist medical professionals in diagnosis using artificial intelligence models. It uses convolutional neural networks(CNN's) trained on medical images of MRI brain scans, to classify whether or not an abnormality is present in the brain. It achieves this by highlighting potential problematic areas, which helps professionals in overviewing data, in making diagnostic decisions, and by reducing errors such as diagnosing false negatives or false positives.
