Research Participation Details

You can select how you would like to share your weight loss surgery experiences:
- Participate in a telephone interview. We can schedule a telephone interview at a time that is convenient for you.
- Participate in an in-person interview. This option is available to interviewees in the San Francisco Bay Area. Individual interviews can take place at the location of your choice.
- Participate via email. You will be sent a copy of the interview questions via email. You can complete the questionnaire at your convenience and return via email.
Research participation will last between 30 minutes and 1 hour, depending upon how much information you would like to share. Interviews will be confidential: all personal identifying information will be removed from research records.
Individuals are eligible to participate in Social and Personal Outcomes of Weight Loss Surgery Patients if you meet the following research criteria:
- You are 18 years of age or older.
- You underwent weight loss surgery 3+ years ago
