Do - It - Yourself: Finding Hand Tools
Directions:
Find any hand tools at your place.
Make a vlog about it;
Identify the hand tools (atleast 5 hand tools)
State its functions or usage as to how you know it was used for,
You can also give trivia about the tool/s if there is.
The vlog must be maximum of 5 minutes.
Submit your output at the assigned google drive. Just click the icon below.
Criteria for Scoring:
Completeness - 15 pts. - (This refers to the number of hand tools presented in the vlog.)
Timeliness - 15 pts. - (This refers to the time that the output has been submitted.)
Authenticity - 20 pts. - (Refers to the output uniqueness as to the content and designs.)

APPLICATION
Do - It - Yourself: PCB Designing
Criteria for Scoring:
Quality of Work - 15 pts. - (This refers to the physical appearance of the output, including; the thickness (the thinner the better) of the traces and errors of the etching process which can be seen in the PCB lay out)
Timeliness - 15 pts. - (This refers to the time that the output has been submitted.)
Authenticity - 20 pts. - (Refers to the lay out design of the PCB)
Given:
(A) Schematic Diagram of a Blinker
(B) Components
Note:
R - Resistor
C - Capacitor
Q - Transistor
D - Diode (LED)
(C) Components' Lay Out (PCB top view)
(D) Pattern on PCB (PCB bottom view)
Directions:
First, gather the needed materials for the activity.
Materials Needed:
PCB - 1 X 2 inches - 1 pc (you can buy large size then cut accordingly using hacksaw)
Masking Tape
Ferric Chloride - 1 Bottle (can be shared by multiple students)
Utility Knife/Blade
Pencil/Ballpen
Make a vlog about it.
The vlog must be maximum of 5 minutes.
Submit your output at the assigned google drive. Just click the icon below.
Step by Step Guide in PCB Designing:
First, cover the copper clad side (smooth and shinny side) of your PCB with the masking tape.
Then, draw the components lay out pattern (see figure (D) above) on the PCB side with a masking tape.
Trace the lines with the use of utility knife to make the pattern of the circuit connection. And then remove the excess masking tape on the PCB to expose the copper side which is not useful for the design. See figure (D) above.
Soak the the PCB on the ferric chloride solution for atleast 10 minutes or as needed.
(Note: Before soaking the PCB on the solution, make sure that the masking tape is fully fix on the PCB. Remember that the solution will dissolve the expose metal part of the PCB.)
For safety purposes; wear surgical gloves while doing the etching process.
After the specified time, rinse the PCB thoroughly with a running water. Then, remove the remaining masking tape.
The output must be look like the picture shown in figure D.
Mark with dots the areas that you needed to bore holes for your components to mount to.
Finally, your done.
