Using Google Forms as a learning tool can support student learning in a variety of ways. There are a few that stand out to me, including quizzes, surveys, and exit tickets. For this activity, I created an assessment to check students' understanding of figurative language. It was something I had done before, and it worked well because the forms were automatically graded, and the results then transferred to Google Sheets to track student progress and let me know what needed to be addressed. In addition to creating surveys with Google Forms, you can also create polls with it. With this form, you can collect responses anonymously, which encourages students to be honest about their feelings about your class. Another strategy that might be helpful is exit tickets, which make it easy for teachers to collect student work and assess students' knowledge of the topics they are teaching. When it is clear that more time needs to be spent on a topic, teachers can adjust lesson plans accordingly and support student learning.
