Faculty members are the backbone of any educational institution, playing a pivotal role in shaping the academic, intellectual, and personal development of students. These educators are responsible for imparting knowledge, fostering critical thinking, and inspiring a lifelong love for learning.

The quality of education depends largely on the qualifications and competencies of the faculty. Hence, educational institutions must look at the welfare and development of the faculty members to further improve their strategies, techniques, knowledge and skills which they can use and share in delivering quality and excellent services to clients and stakeholders.

The Cagayan State University is one institution that focuses on the development of its faculty members. This is evidenced by the approved Faculty Development Plan designed by the university, which is given an annual budget for its implementation. With the advent of internationalization, ASEAN integration, and other global challenges, the university finds it important to make its faculty members RELEVANT to the needs of times. To do this, the university continuously implement and monitor its faculty development plan by sending its teachers to seminars, webinars, scholarships, certifications, research fora and community engagements.

The university invests in all of these activities geared towards the development of the faculty members to ensure the achievement of its Vision, Mission and Core Values and the bachelor of Science in Information Technology  Program Goals, Objectives and Intended Learning Outcomes.
