NSWCCC OPEN FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS - Rules

Match Conduct

• The referee’s decision is final in all matches, in accordance with FIFA directives.

• Games consist of 2 x 20-minute halves, with a 2-minute halftime and 3 minutes between games. 

• Teams must remain on the field during halftime for discussions.

• The referee’s whistle controls the start and end of all matches.

• Players must be ready to commence matches promptly; Coaches and Managers are expected to assist with this.

Discipline

• A red card results in an automatic suspension from the next game.

• Accumulation of three (3) yellow cards during the group stage results in automatic suspension from the next match.

Disputes

• Disputes must be reported immediately to the referee after the game.

• If unresolved, escalate the issue to Tournament Control.

• The decision of the Convenor and CSNSW Sport is final on all disputes and tournament matters.

Scoring & Standings

• Match Points:

  1. Win: 3 points

  2. Draw: 1 point

  3. Loss: 0 points

• Tiebreakers (applied in order if teams are level on points):

  1. Goal difference

  2. Goals scored (Goals For)

  3. Head-to-head result (if teams have played each other)

  4. Toss of a coin (by the Convenor)

Results

• Result cards must be confirmed with both team captains and the referee after each game.

• Confirmed results must be submitted to Tournament Control.

• Coaches/Managers must keep score and confirm results with the referee.

• In case of score disputes, raise the issue immediately after the game.

Note: There will be no scoreboard display for scores or game time
