Yearbook Price Q&A:
Our yearbook student staff members work hard all year long to tell the story of all of the things our high school community did this year.
Together we log over 250 hours taking nearly 200,000 photographs of athletic, music, drama, and extra-curricular events throughout the school year. We interview students and engage with our community so we can share what makes us Redhawks. We share our extra photographs on the B roll so that you can have a front row seat to your student's activities just like we do.
We work really hard on our homework all year long so that you can have a keepsake to cherish for a lifetime.
We can't make decisions for your family about where to spend your hard-earned money, but we hope you value the time and energy we spend creating this book.
How much does the 2027 Yearbook cost? (Click to expand)
The short answer- It depends on when you buy it. The earlier you buy, the lower the price.
**Don't forget- you can split your order into 3 payments at no additional charge.
ALL pre-ordered yearbooks are sold below cost and the yearbook program budgets for a $13,500 loss each year.
(Our program pays $92.32 for each book.)
We did really well with our revenue in 2026- and this year are able to set our prices lower than last year!
• The first 200 copies of the yearbook will sell for $60 (a savings of $32.32)
• The next 200 copies of the yearbook will sell for $73 (a savings of $19.32)
• The remaining preordered copies of the yearbook will sell for $80 (a savings of $12.32)
We are never guaranteed overrun books- but if we receive them in June- those are the only books that will be sold at full price.
How can you afford to charge $13,500 less than what the program pays?
Our student staff members are committed to bringing in $13,000 in ad revenue each year. Senior Ads bring in roughly $7,000 yearly, and remaining $6,000 comes from our local business advertising partnerships. We work hard to bring in this extra income yearly so that every PVM family can buy their yearbook below cost.
(The additional money we raise goes towards photography equipment and staff supplies.)
Why are the yearbooks so expensive?
The short answer- unfortunately the cost of everything has increased.
Yearbooks are custom printed and not mass produced. Because they are printed in a limited series, limited run- they cost more to print than a book from a bookstore. (Bookstore prices have also increased.)
Why does the high school yearbook cost more than the CSMS yearbook?
The middle school yearbook is less than half the size of the high school yearbook and printed on entry level materials.
As a staff, we take far more photos of athletic, music, and extra-curricular events than we could ever contain in a yearbook.
The B roll contains great photos of our students doing the things they love-
but they didn’t make the cut as our "A Roll", the photographs we are considering using in the yearbook.
Fun fact- we took 17,056 pictures during Homecoming alone!
