Unbudgeted Request, Ella Dols
Alpine skier submitted a request for funds to compete at the collegiate level which includes racing at regional and national events.
CSS does not have an alpine ski team and Dols will currently be the only student competing. She may try to recruit more students.
She requested $2,952.
SGA voted on four different amounts before $1,730 was approved.
New Club Request: Cardiology Club
Elias Jouppi presented the request for the club.
The mission of the club is to provide students with opportunities to learn about the heart and circulatory system, explore careers in related fields, and promote heart health awareness.
The club plans to do educational meetings, service opportunities, and outreach events.
The club was approved.
New Grievances
The Sommers elevator is not working. It was supposed to be fixed on Monday, Dec. 1 and it is still not fixed at the time of the meeting.

Take a PAWs event is happening on Dec. 12 from 12:00-2:00 PM in the Sommers main lounge.
The Academic Affairs Committee sent out an academic check-in survey for all students to complete. The survey will collect feedback on students’ experiences with academics at CSS.

The Giving Tree is collecting gifts in the BWC for people who can’t afford to buy them. The gifts will be going to the Safe Haven shelter.

The head of the safety committee is attending a meeting to hopefully get new AEDS next year. They would also include narcan.

The Wifi connection in Tower Hall is still malfunctioning.
The IT department has confirmed they are working on improving the issue in both Tower and Kerst Hall.
Sidewalks are already beginning to become icy and require more attention.
The disparity in heating within buildings is causing discomfort.
Some buildings are overheated, some not at all.
Sommers Hall's south gender neutral bathroom has been out of order for some time.
Willow Hall has no public restroom.

Asian Student Union was approved $250 for travel to Minneapolis and grocery costs from Asian grocery stores. It will also cover supplies for a self care night during finals week.

Wi-Fi connection continues to be spotty, especially in Kerst. The front door of Kerst is sometimes left open.
The student center is not on the work order portal.
Student government association meeting on Nov. 5. Public meetings are Wednesdays at 8 p.m. in the student center flex space and count as dignitas labs.

Nursing students have mentioned that the the program fees aren’t transparent.
Premed students have asked for more premed resources.
Stennett reports that the federal government is getting rid of subsidized loans that don’t accrue interest while in school. The federal work study program is also receiving cuts. Administration is exploring alternative funding options.

Proposes that student government funds installation of Narcan boxes in every residential life building. It would cost around $1,000. Currently, Narcan is only located in the campus security office.

In a meeting about the dress code policy, representatives from the BWC said that students not covering their torsos while exercising was an issue of distraction for non-student users of the facility. The rule is a BWC rule, but not an official policy.

Swipe out hunger program is in deficit. SGA could fund a 50% match for a grant to fund it. SGA has $7,500 set aside for food insecurity.
