Location: Health Science Center campus of St. Scholastica (940 Woodland Avenue, Duluth, MN).

Description: The Department of Occupational Therapy Lifelong Love of Learning Professional Development Continuing Education presents the synthesized results of critically appraised topics and specific steps for implementing in evidence-based practice. The event includes a series of knowledge translation sessions that will prepare the attendee to implement an evidence-based practice plan. Topics include pediatrics, early childhood, school-based services, practitioner burnout, behavioral health, community services (housing instability, adoptive families), long COVID, higher education, and narrative approaches.
Six concurrent sessions will be offered in the first and third half hour and another six in the second and fourth half hour for a total of 13 presentations (participants will select four total presentations throughout the event). All presentations are provided by students in the Occupational Therapy Program and all projects are guided by research faculty at The College of Saint Scholastica. Target audience are occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, behavioral health providers, and K-12 school staff.

understand the critically appraised evidence relevant to occupational therapy practice in specific topics;
prepare for implementation of an evidence-based practice project;
identify outcomes appropriate to measure to determine impact of implementing an evidence-based practice project.
