Pick-a-Book Program
The goal of this program is to make the library reachable & accessible to everyone and to be able to provide the books that the students’ needs whether it is for leisure reading or research. Also, to give assistance to the students
1. Who are entitled to borrow books from the library?
All students who are enrolled this SY 2021-2022 can borrow books from the library.
2. When can students start borrowing books from the library?
They can start borrowing books on August 2021.
3. How will the students know what books they can borrow?
They can visit the library’s website at https://bit.ly/csrmlibrary to know what books are available. These books will be age-appropriate.
4. Can students request for a specific title of book?
Yes, they can request for a specific title by getting in touch with the librarian through rkbdalupiri@csr.edu.ph
5. How can students borrow books?
They can go to the website and fill out the CheckOut Form to submit their request. The librarian will get in touch with them or their parents once the books are ready for pick up at the lobby guard. They may send an adult to pick them up, or they may contract a courier service.
Note: If books have been with the school guard for three working days and have not been picked up, the librarian will retrieve them and cancel the request.
6. How can students return books?
They can return books by asking an adult to drop them off at the lobby guard, or they can have them delivered by a courier service. The school guard will record all such drop offs/deliveries. The librarian will contact the parents to confirm that the books have been received.
7. How many books can students borrow at a particular time? When should they be returned?
They can borrow at most three (3) books for at most 14 calendar days. The loan period begins when the library has already released the books. It ends when the library has received the books. The due date is posted on the last page of every book.
8. Can students renew their loan period?
Yes, they can renew their loan period for a maximum of seven (7) calendar days without having to return the books. This is subject to the librarian’s approval since some books may be in demand. To renew, students should get in touch with the librarian to get their approval on or before the due date.
9. What is the penalty for unreturned books?
The penalty for unreturned books is PHP 3/book/calendar day. The librarian will notify the parents of students with unreturned books of these charges. These fees will be charged to their school account.
10. Are the books safe to use?
The librarian ensure that all books are safe to use. They will be disinfected before they are prepared for sending out, and they will likewise be disinfected when they are returned.
