一、 報到後新生請利用系上網頁上老師的聯絡資料(電話或E-MAIL)並參考網頁老師指導學生狀態表，自行與老師約定時間詳談後，再選定指導教授。
A new graduate student can obtain the contact information (telephone or e-mail) and status of faculty members through the department website, and initiate interviews with the instructors before selecting an advisor.

二、 指導教授必須為本系專任老師，不可為他系老師或本系兼任老師。
An advisor must be a full-time faculty member in the department. Instructors from other departments or part-time instructors do not qualify.
三、 選定指導教授後，務必填寫指導教授申請書，並請指導教授簽名後，繳回系辦。
After selecting an advisor, the student must complete the attached advisor application form with the advisor’s signature, and submit it to the department office.
四、為有效幫助新生早日選定指導教授參與研究團隊，應於入學第一學期開學後十四日內完成 。
The signed advisor application form must be submitted within 14 days of the first semester.
