Lisa M. DeBoer, NREMT-P, CET, PI
Lisa DeBoer started out in EMS in 1991 with dreams of becoming a flight medic. However, after living through a horrific ambulance crash, Lisa’s future was altered forever. What she used to call “the worst night of my life,” ultimately put her on the path to becoming a paramedic, entrepreneur, and pediatric president.
Scott DeBoer, RN, MSN, CPEN, EMT-P
Scott DeBoer is a dynamic seminar leader with over 30 years of emergency, critical care, & flight nursing experience. After 25 years of playing flight nurse at the University of Chicago, Scott is currently the primary seminar leader for Pedi-Ed-Trics, a company dedicated to teaching better ways to care for kids and an active medical-legal consultant. However, his most unique current role is being a theme park paramedic at Universal Studios Orlando.
David W. Fairbanks, MD, FAAFP
David W. Fairbanks, MD presently serves as Chief Medical Officer for Front Line EMS. He has had a diverse career in challenging rural ER and prehospital settings. He is the Chair of Medicine at Miners’ Colfax Medical Center in Raton, NM. He has served as a ski patroller and Medical Director for several mountains both big and small. He has served as a flight crew member and Medical Director for Eagle Med and Reach Air Medical Services fixed and rotary wing operations. He served as the Chief Medical Officer for the largest Emergency Intake Site for the Unaccompanied Children Refugee Mission at Ft. Bliss, TX. He has served on the staffs of both the National and World Scouting Jamborees. He has served in rural ERs from Saratoga, WY to St. Croix, USVI. He served as the County Health Officer for Big Horn County during this pandemic and continues to serve as the Medical Director for the Wyoming State Parks EMS and the South Big Horn County Search and Rescue and he volunteers on the Shell Valley Fire Department. He is a graduate of Brigham Young University and the University of Virginia School of Medicine. He completed a trauma surgical internship at Washington Hospital Center in DC and Family Medicine Residency at Southern Illinois University. He is a decorated veteran of the United States Air Force. He was deployed for 4 tours as a flight surgeon during Operation Desert Storm, where he was named, 7th Wing’s Flight Surgeon of the Year. He teaches ATLS, ACLS, PALS, APLS, AWLS and PHTLS and is an Associate Clinical Professor at Pacific Northwest University School of Medicine. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. He has completed many FEMA and Wildland Fire certifications including his Red Card.
