• Practice argumentative, informational, and narrative writing.

• Write arguments using evidence to support claims.

• Write informative/explanatory texts to examine topics and convey ideas.

Literature:

• Read and analyze texts.

• Use text-based evidence to determine meaning.

• Determine an author’s point of view.

• Use primary sources to compare and contrast.

• Read informational texts.

• Cite several pieces of text-based evidence.

• Create presentations & verbally present about ideas surrounding texts.

• Engage effectively in a range of collaborative discussions.
