LAST DAY OF SCHOOL:

• ATTIRE: Wear tennis shoes and bring a water bottle! A baseball cap is optional.

PARADE SEASON NOTES:

• Return times listed on itineraries are approximate because of the unpredictable nature of parade marching. 

• School policy regarding students leaving from parades (vs riding the bus back to Cumberland):

  • ONLY legal parents/guardians may take their own student(s) home with them.

  • Students MAY NOT ride with another adult, EVEN IF THEIR PARENT/GUARDIAN GIVES PERMISSION. This is a school policy, not a band policy. There will be NO EXCEPTIONS.

  • Parents/guardians must meet their student(s) at the END of the parade where the buses will be loading and SIGN THEM OUT with the attendance chaperone. Students MAY NOT go back to the parade route to find parents/guardians. If the parent/guardian is not at the end of the parade route to pick up their student(s), the student(s) will be riding the bus home.

  • Please do not put the band directors or chaperones in an awkward position of having to tell students/parents that the student(s) cannot wait for parent after the buses depart.
