Instructional iReady Curriculum Overview & Magnetic Reading (gr 5) Ready Reading (gr 6) Instructional Resources
This is the curriculum tool adopted by our district to align our teaching to the Common Core Standards.
The iReady Reading curriculum uses a gradual release of responsibility model. The instructional model's consistent use of reading, thinking, talking, and writing fosters engagement and builds student autonomy.
The instruction book focuses on both Informational and Literature Reading Standards, beginning with identification of key ideas and details, central ideas and themes, and inferences based on text details. Instruction then shifts to craft and structure of both Informational texts and Literature texts.
