Who can register for Tech Summit?
- Any Canyons School District teacher in Kindergarten - Grade 12 are eligible to register for the Tech Summit pending availability.
What credit is available for attending the Tech Summit?
- .5 USBE credit is offered for each day you attend and complete the required homework assignment.
What stipend is available for attending the Tech Summit?
- There is a $150 per day stipend available for attending all sessions for that day.
Do I need to bring a device or other classroom materials to support my learning?
Yes! Please bring a charged laptop and a note taking method (i.e notebook, pad of paper, or digital notes) to allow you to work in each session with the technology and instructional priorities being taught.
Will there be charging stations?
There will be several outlets throughout the school to allow you to charge your computer.
Will lunch be provided?
Yes! We will be providing lunch on both days to allow you to spend time networking and chatting with fellow summiters about your learning. While we try to accommodate your dietary restrictions as stated in your registration form, please reach out if you have any questions of concerns.
How is Tech Summit different than Canvas Cookout?
Canvas Cookout focused solely on Canvas in all the different sessions. This was a great opportunity to help support teachers step up their Canvas Game. As teachers got better and better with Canvas, it is time to branch out and make sure we are upping all our technology skills.
Can I attend just one day?
While we think you can get the most benefit from the Tech Summit if you attend both day, we do have options for you if you are attending only one day. Be sure you mark which days you are attending when you register.
It's all sold out? Is there a waiting list?
Do not fear! While we only have limited seats, there is a waiting list to ensure that if a spot comes up, we will email you if a spot opens up and make sure you can join us. If you do not make it in this year, keep your eye out for next year.
What if I signed up, but now I can't come?
Oh no! We will miss you, but email justin.andersen@canyonsdistrict.org and cancel your ticket in Eventbrite.
How do I continue learning after the Tech Summit?
Don't let the learning stop! You are so lucky to have an Achievement and Ed Tech Coach in your building. Make sure to reach out to them after Tech Summit to help support your continued learning.
