Downers Grove South's Black Student Union is a student centered organization focused on cultivating a platform for students to enhance their knowledge of black history and cultural awareness; promote post-secondary preparedness; enrich students’ lives through community outreach and involvement; and gain greater self-awareness. Students are provided a safe space to have their voices heard while also learning how to productively promote unity and inclusion within DGS and the Downers Grove community. Through this club, all students will be encouraged to pursue their future beyond high school in a way that overturns negative stereotypes in society and leaves a legacy for future students to follow. All mustangs are welcome and encouraged to take part!
