Courtney & Robert, college admission professionals with more than 25 years of experience between them; want to help kick start your college search and clarify common misconceptions about public schools vs. private schools. Courtney and Robert will lead a spirited discussion of the steps to take as you begin your journey down the road to college, focusing on three areas of "fit": academic, social, and financial. They will dive into the similarities and differences between large and small institutions. They will also provide insight from behind the admission desk, including tips on what you should do as you begin to visit and correspond with colleges.

Lavon Robinson Robinson is one of the College/Career Counselors at DGS. Despite majority of D99 students having plans to attend and graduate from a 4-year college or university, that is not the reality for all D99 students. In this session, he will highlight career paths that are attainable without a traditional four-year college degree. This sessions will help viewers better understand why a career in trades and a certificate via a junior college is a great option.
