2023- Present
At the start of my second year at University of Kansas, I was elected as Director of the Freedom by Design committee for American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS). This committee was dedicated to community service and small scale design build projects in the Lawrence, KS area. During my time as director, I have hosted food drives and community cleanups. Currently I'm project managing a year-long design build project that consists of a sustainable outdoor congregation space on campus.
2023 - Present
During my second year at the University of Kansas, I joined Alpha Sigma Kappa, a non-panhellenic sorority for Women in Stem. The purpose of the chapter is to promote friendship, academic achievement, unity within the organization, and philanthropy throughout the community.
2022 - 2023
My first year of college, I got elected as the first-year representative of my grade for the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS). This position consisted of partaking in the planning of the organization's events and meeting. I also had the responsibility of informing the class about current events and news.
2021-2022
Starting in 2021, I started working as an intern for 12/12 Architects and Planners, a private residential firm. I was responsible for converting 2D plans from AutoCad into 3D models on Revit. I also helped manage social media accounts, met with clients, and attended site visits.
2021
In the summer of 2021, I participated in a 2 week architecture program with the University of Illinois in Chicago (UIC). Through this program I learned how to use the Rhino 7 software as well and putting together boards and physical models.
2020 - 2022
In 2020, I was inducted into the National Technical Honors Society for outstanding career and technical students of workforce vocational education institutions in the United States.
2019 - 2022
I started enrolling in architecture classes in my sophomore year of high school. I have taken Architecture I, II Honors, III Honors, Civil Engineering/Architecture Honors, and an Internship Course. Through these classes I learned Revit, InDesign, Photoshop, 3ds Max, Sketchup, Lumion, freehand sketching, and physical modeling. In 2022, I was awarded "Best Project by an Individual" at the DGS STEM Showcase.
2019 - 2022
SkillsUSA is a United States Career and Technical student organization training students in trade, technical, and skilled service occupations. My senior year I placed 9th place in a state ranking for Architectural Drafting.
