"Should i go to couples therapy with my abusive partner?" No In the website it talks about how the abusive partner doesn't always change and that couples therapy doesn't always help. (couples therapy is different from mandatory counseling. )

The Role Of Counselling And Rehabilitation In Domestic Violence In the website it states " Domestic violence cases often involve complex underlying issues that require more than just legal intervention. Courts frequently mandate counseling and rehabilitation programs for individuals convicted of domestic violence offenses to address these issues and reduce the likelihood of reoffending."
Is change possible in an abuser? This shows evidence that the abuser can change if they really want to, but either way they would change with mandatory counseling even if they don't want to.
