This year, I am honored to be serving as the advisor for the Manning High School chapter of the National Honor Society. The National Honor Society is a nationwide organization for high school students in the United States and outlying territories, which consists of many chapters in high schools. Selection is based on four criteria: scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
Meetings are held on the last Thursday of each month at 11:30 in my classroom, room 214. Students who are part of this prestigious organization are required to complete a certain number of service hours in order to maintain membership status. Upcoming service opportunities will listed below, as well as on the group's Google Classroom page.
