SOPPA Information

Overview

Beginning on July 1, 2021, school districts in Illinois will be required by the Student Online Personal Protection Act (SOPPA) to provide additional guarantees that students' data is protected when being collected by educational technology companies and that the data is being used for beneficial purposes only.
