We minister full time through Cru (read all about our organization here). Kelly joined staff in 2001 in Spain and Jason joined in 2003 in East Asia. We married in 2005 and have four wonderful kids: Caleb (05/16/2007), McKinley (05/09/10), Maddison (11/10/13), and Harry (08/06/2016). Together we served in Kansas, New York City, and since 2012, Denver, our home.
Today, Kelly serves as the National Director of People and Culture for Destino, Cru's ministry to Hispanic and Latino college students. After serving on the national Destino team himself, Jason now serves as a Partnering Church Catalyst for the Church Movement ministry.
Conversion and multiplying discipleship account for just 4% of U.S. church growth. As of 2014, the U.S. is the 4th largest unreached country in the world. Yet in spite of these challenges, the Lord has commissioned his church to be "a pillar and buttress of truth" (1 Timothy 3:15, ESV). Jason offers his evangelism, discipleship, and cross-cultural experience as a Partnering Church Catalyst with the Church Movements ministry of Cru. He partners with churches in and around Denver to connect people to Jesus, develop missional leaders, mobilize the church, and serve the city.
Jason graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 2005 with a degree in Philosophy. He was named the departmental scholar in philosophy twice. In 2013 he became advanced certified in cultural intelligence. In 2016 he earned a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Colorado Denver with an emphasis in nonprofit management (summa cum laude). He is currently a Masters of Divinity Student at Covenant Seminary and serves concurrently in an executive leadership role at his church, Grace and Peace Denver.
College students have the ability to change the world. The Hispanic and Latino college student population continues to be the fastest growing student demographic in the U.S., yet few ministries are adapting to meet this need. Destino, Cru's ministry to Hispanic and Latino students, is the largest college student ministry for Hispanics and Latinos in the country. Kelly gives leadership on the National Destino team, giving care and oversight to over 90 staff who serve across the country and abroad.
Kelly graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder in 2001 with a degree in Music. In 2019 she earned a Masters in Organizational Leadership from the Townsend Institute at Concordia University (summa cum laude). In 2020 she will complete Cru's certificate of Biblical Studies and an additional Masters Degree in Executive Coaching.
