Jen and Scott have been missionaries with Cru for 27 & 24 years respectively. They have served on a number of university campuses around New England and around the world. Since 2009 they have served as the team leaders for movements at UConn and the surrounding schools. 

They have also served to establish and build movements of multiplying disciples in some of the most influential cities in Asia and Europe.

Bri comes from Virginia Beach, Virginia, where dolphins are neighbors and using ‘y’all’ is commonplace. She became involved with Cru at her alma mater, George Mason University, and found Jesus in her freshman year. Surrounded by a Christ-centered community, shaped by staff who poured into her, and realizing she loved telling people about Jesus, Bri felt called to join Cru staff in 2023. That calling brought her all the way to UConn, where she’s now helping students meet Jesus and grow in their faith. When she’s not on campus, you’ll likely find her on a long run in the woods, scouting out new coffee shops, or baking something delicious (or at least edible).

James was born and raised in Nashua, New Hampshire. He grew up going to a Chinese church with his family. It wasn't until later in high school that James truly understood God's grace for him. Entering the University of Connecticut, James committed to investing in his relationship with Jesus and continued to surrender his life to Him. After graduating with a degree in Physiology and Neurobiology in 2023, James interned with Cru at UConn for 2 years before joining staff long-term. When he isn't cheering on the UConn Huskies basketball teams, James loves sharing and experiencing cultures through food, playing any and every sport, nerding out about coffee, exploring cities on local transit, and taking too long during his turn when playing board games. 

Emily is from Massachusetts, the land of Dunkin'. She became involved with Cru during her freshman year at UConn, and it quickly became her favorite community on campus. God used weekly Bible studies, large group meetings, and conversations with students and Cru staff to completely transform her relationship with Him. She grew in Biblical literacy and learned what it meant to be a part of the family of God. After graduating a year early, Emily felt called to intern at Cru and be a part of the eternal impact that Cru is having on the lives of students. In her free time, she likes to hang out with friends, read, and go for runs.
