Meet our staff and leaders
Darren Tryon
Team Member
Darren is like a variety box of chocolate. He enjoys all types of sports, music, and movies. His favorite show is "The Office" and is frequently quoting the characters. Darren is mainly found at CMU discipling men and planning our weekly large group meeting, Citywide.
Kim Tryon
Team Member
Kim cares deeply cares about the people in her life. She loves her three kids, Judah, Micah, and Eliza (and her husband Darren). Puzzles, card games, working out, "Friends", and crocheting are just a few things she enjoys. Kim disciples women at Pitt, helps with the admin tasks, and leads a women's sexual wholeness group.
Andy Stroh
Team Member
Andy is as honest as they come. He loves to study the Bible and invest in young men, unafraid to speak the truth in love. He loves the Steelers even though he is from Ohio. Catch Andy riding his bike to campus, ready to lead men in their walk with Jesus Christ!
Anna Stroh
Team Member
Anna is a proud boomerang kid who just couldn’t stay away from the best job ever (working with Cru). Most weeks you’ll find her meeting one-on-one with students, bringing steady “mom and math teacher” energy to discipleship, and cheering students on behind the scenes. She loves building steady relationships that create space for real growth and faith.
Dawnielle Schell
Team Member
Hailing from West Virginia, Dawnielle enjoys being active outdoors but prefers cool weather. Tell her your favorite movie because she loves movie nights and hanging out with friends.
Dawnielle joyfully in disciples college women and is currently helping with the freshmen Bible study at Pitt. She also spearheads our prayer efforts as well. Dawnielle is an experienced Cru staffer who is a true servant to her team and students!
Randy Veccia
Interim Team Leader
Randy is light-hearted in nature with a deep commitment to his faith, family, and community.
Since 2009, he has served with Cru, mentoring students and developing staff members, drawing on his background as an Army combat veteran and former collegiate rugby player. He currently serves as the team leader for Northwest PA Cru as well. Randy loves a good board game and has a taste for the best food that Western PA has to offer!
