What is included in my Fall Getaway cost?

Many things! Housing, 4 meals (B/L/D Saturday & Breakast Sunday), camp facilites, supplies, and more!

I do not have a car. How do I get to Fall Getaway?

No car? No problem! A couple of weeks before the trip, we’ll put together a carpool list so you can easily hitch a ride with someone heading your way. We’ve got you covered!

What time can I arrive?

Check-in is between 5 PM and 7 PM  on  Friday, October  2.

What is the address of the camp?

To find the camp and NOT show up at the wrong place, type in
"Echo Valley HEB River Road Leaky Texas" exactly on Google Maps! Or you can just click here!

I do not have a sleeping bag. Can I just bring sheets and a blanket?

For sure! You'll be sleeping on a twin bed, so any twin-sized sheet set (or larger) and a cozy blanket will work perfectly for the weekend.

Do I need to bring a flashlight?

The camp has outdoor lighting at night, but it can still get pretty dark out in nature. Tucking a flashlight or headlamp into your bag is a great idea and if you plan to join us for the Sunrise Hike, it's definitely a must-have!

Will dinner be provided for me on Friday night?

Unfortunately, we will not be providing dinner for you on Friday night. Please be sure to eat before you arrive at the camp.

Is there a gas near HEB Camp?

"Close" is relative out here! The nearest gas station is about 13.5 miles away (a 20-minute drive). We super highly recommend topping off your tank before driving into camp so you don't have to worry about running on empty.

​My parents want to know that I made it safely. Is there cell service?

Cell service is not good at the camp. You will most likely not have any. There is a camp phone that you can use to let them know that you made it. If there is an emergency, they can contact us at the camp by calling (830) 291-8624. (The camp phone is in the kitchen so it may be a little harder to get a hold of someone in the middle of the night)

I can no longer go to Fall Getaway. Can I get a refund?

We do offer refunds but not after September 24, 2026. If you can no longer go and need a refund, please email us at txfallgetaway@cru.org and we can help you out!

FULL REFUND: will be given if requested before September 18, 2026

PARTIAL REFUND: all but $10 of your payment will be refunded if requested on or after September 18, 2026 until 11:59 PM on September 24, 2026

NO REFUNDS: if requested on or after September 25, 2026
