Religion/Faith statistics:
73% Orthodox
19% Muslim
0.02% Evangelical/Protestant
Located in Eastern Europe, along the Adriatic Sea, bordering Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo and Albania. The evangelical community is tiny, but multiplying. There are several active growing churches. Evangelical congregations, while only a handful, have a vision for sharing the gospel.
Montenegro has been characterised by hard soil but mass protests in 2020/21 within the Orthodox Church over land has seemed to spark more interest and openness in faith for the everyday student. Students have a blended worldview- a mix of mostly nominal Orthodox belief, lingering non-belief from Communism, and postmodernism as the country has opened more to the West in recent years.
