I was lucky enough to have a mom that taught at the same school I went to from kindergarten to 6th grade. As I grew up, I saw how much she enjoyed her job working with kids. In addition, I had a few pivotal teachers throughout school that got me excited about learning and trying new things, and I wanted to spread that love of learning to others. In high school, I taught karate at East West Karate and had a blast working with kids. All of these influences made my career choice an obvious one. :)

I have now been teaching in CR for 11 years since graduating from Bloomsburg University. In that time, I've gotten my Master's degree from Lamar University in Teacher Leadership.

I most enjoy spending time with my two kids, Charlie and Maisy, and my wife, Jackie. Reading, writing, playing video games, and creating stories in Dungeons and Dragons are some of my other hobbies. I also LOVE learning new things and making mistakes!
