Kindergarteners,

I’m Miss Dougherty and I am thrilled to be your Kindergarten teacher! Welcome to our class family! This is my fourth year at Richboro. I hope to make your first year in elementary school so special! I promise to always greet you with a smile and help you feel smart, loved, and important each day. We have so many wonderful things to learn, and I can't wait to get started!

I am looking forward to learning and growing with your family this year. This is sure to be an exciting time for you as your child begins their official journey in becoming a lifelong learner. This year we will spend time encouraging positive social interactions among the students, fostering independence, and nurturing an environment of respect and care. 

There is a lot of learning to be done this year! You will see your child blossom into an early reader and writer as well as building many math skills. Also, we will explore several topics in science and social studies. While having fun in the classroom, we will also learn the importance of creating a structured and organized learning environment. This year is about to be filled with so many memories and I hope you are as excited as I am.
