All About Me!

Hello Second Graders & Families! 

I hope you all had a fabulous summer!  

My name is Devon Remmey and I will be your second-grade teacher this year! 🙂

Second Grade will be full of fun and active learning. We will be diving into literature every day through our Wonders and Reading Horizons programs. We will expand our minds within our science investigations and social studies concepts. We will also be exploring math through discussion, hands on activities and work places. You are going to LOVE Second Grade! 

I would like to take the time now to tell you a little bit about myself: I have been busy having tons of summer fun with my two little boys! Rory is 3 years old and Wesley will be turning 2 in October and Odin is our 100lb, lovable pup. This summer we have been enjoying staying at our family beach house in Avalon, NJ. We stayed busy playing in the sand and visiting the Zoo and many boat rides. We closed our summer fun with a family vacation down in Corolla, NC. When I am not teaching, I also love to cook, shop, and go on outside adventures with my family. 

I am a Council Rock and Pennsylvania State University graduate and received my Masters Degree in Reading with a Pennsylvania Reading Specialist Certificate. I have been teaching primary grades for 13 years and have a passion for student literacy. I feel strongly on a student-led learning environment, integrating technology to advance learning and making sure every student feels safe, appreciated, and confident!
