WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL!!!
2025-2026 SCHOOL YEAR
Dear D-5 Families,
Welcome back to school! I hope that everyone is having a wonderful summer and is looking forward to starting a new school year! I am so excited to meet our children on our first school day, Tuesday, September 2nd. I am also looking forward to meeting Moms and Dads at Back to School night scheduled for Thursday, September 4th from 6:00-6:45 PM. Summer around the Vile household has been very busy. My husband Tom and I have two boys, Joe and Michael. We had a lowkey summer with the kids in camp, me working ESY at Richboro Elementary, and my husband starting a new job! We had a lot of friends and family visiting summer which kept us busy and very entertained. My boys start school soon too at Newtown Elementary School. My son, Joe, is starting 5th grade and Michael is starting 3rd. Time is flying by!
I am looking forward to getting to hear your child’s summer stories. I know that they use this time to relax, spend time on their hobbies, and reconnect with friends and family. I would love for each child to bring in a picture of a summer memory that they can keep in their writer’s notebook. We will use it as a springboard to write as we let go of summer and open our arms to fall.
Please be sure to review the school supply list and have the items ready to send in with your child on the first day of school if you didn’t order through the PTO. We will be setting up our binders and getting everything organized on Wednesday. The supply list is posted on our website. Each child should also bring a water bottle (with water only, please) and a healthy snack that can be eaten in about 10 minutes. Children who plan to pack should bring their lunch and buyers should make sure to update their lunch account with money. The breakfast program, however, is still running and is available for children. Finally, please have your child bring a book to read each day. We will be going over healthy reading habits and expectations the first week of school.
I am looking forward to starting a new year, and I know that it's going to be a great one! As in years past, I find it very helpful to get some information from you regarding your child, so this email requests a little homework from you. I hope to hear from all of you! I'm not looking for complete sentences, there are no right or wrong answers, there is no sentence minimum and I'm not grading your spelling, so please respond to this survey in any form that's convenient for you! (It's probably easiest to hit reply and respond in the body of the email! Also, please don't feel obligated to answer every question!)
See you all soon!
Your 5th Grade Teacher,
Mrs. Kimberly Vile
