The Roosevelt After-School Strings Program (RASP) offers students the chance to learn from professional orchestral musicians, participate in advanced ensemble playing, and connect with other passionate young musicians from the Cedar Rapids metro area. This program is completely tuition-free and does not require an audition.

The only requirement is that students are currently enrolled in an Orchestra class—at RCCBA or at their own school.

Program Details:

• Meeting Times: Tuesdays & Thursdays, 3:15–5:15 p.m.

• Location: RCCBA Band/Orchestra Room (300 13th St. NW, Cedar Rapids, IA)

• Eligibility: Open to RCCBA Orchestra students and 6th–8th grade Orchestra students from schools across the Cedar Rapids area.

• Cost: 100% free (limited to 20 students)
