Wow...what a weekend!!!!
● Another great week for our jazz bands. The Coe Jazz Summit is one of the
largest jazz contests in Iowa drawing bands from all across the state.
Congratulations to both jazz bands on great performances and to Jazz One on
their 1st place finish.
● Please join us this Friday for our annual Pops Concert beginning at 7pm in the
auditorium. Please see details above.
○ This concert is for ALL Kennedy band students - many are playing in
multiple ensembles.
○ Students are required to stay for the entire concert - they will have
assigned seating in the auditorium.
● Jazz One, Jazz Two and Jazz Lab will be competing in the NEIBA District Jazz
Festival in Waterloo this Saturday. Please see the schedule listed above.
● This Sunday our Winter Guard and Winter Percussion Ensemble will be traveling
to Des Moines Roosevelt High School to compete in the Iowa Indoor Marching
Arts regional competition. See the schedule above
● This week is a B week.

** Items will be delivered to school on April 2 (in time for Easter)
** The profit from this will be used to help cover costs for all of our various groups (Winterguard,
Winter Percussion Ensemble, Jazz Bands, all 3 concert bands) and get ready for next year.
Our goal is for everyone to sell at least 5.
