Chase is currently a junior at Technology High School and is excited to be performing as Sky Masterson in Guys & Dolls! Last year he took up the role of Tony in West Side Story. Previously he has appeared in Spreckel’s Theatre Company’s productions. Some of his roles include Rapunzel’s Prince in Into the Woods and Kyle in Legally Blonde. Chase will be seen next as Hugo at Spreckel’s Theatre Company’s Tuck Everlasting this May.
Marina is a junior at Technology High School, excited to perform her first lead role in her musical career. She started performing in musical theater in the fifth grade. Her previous performances include The Sound of Music, Elf Jr., and West Side Story. The arts are her passion, and she dreams of composing music for her own musical someday. In her free time, Marina enjoys drawing, composing music, sewing, romantic candlelit dinners, and long walks on the beach. Marina hopes to continue her acting and musical career in the future, possibly expanding into more comedic roles. She was incredibly excited to perform as Sarah in Tech High’s Guys and Dolls this year.
Maranda Zwinge is a sophomore at Technology High School. She started performing at age 11 when she made her debut in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at LJMS. Since then she has been a part of six other productions such as West Side Story and The Princess Who Had No Name. Maranda loves nothing more than theatre and is happy to share her love with everyone as a dance captain and Adelaide. She is excited to have the opportunity to continue her high school theatre career with Guys and Dolls. She began her high school career with a solo in the winter showcase at Tech High where she sang Lifeboat from Heathers and helped choreograph We Go Together from Grease. Guys and Dolls is one of the most incredible shows Maranda has had the chance to be a part of and wants everyone to enjoy it as much as she has.
Caden is a freshman at Technology High School who is excited to be playing Nathan Detroit in Guys and Dolls. This is his first experience with drama performances and he is happy to be included. Caden’s favorite part of being part of this production is all the people he's been able to meet. His main inspiration for joining drama and being part of the production is his 8th-grade drama teacher Mrs. Tuor. His favorite sport is baseball and his favorite colors are black and pink.
This is Ella Brokaw’s second high school production at Technology High School. Ella is an 11th-grader at Tech High. She started theater in sixth grade at LJMS and has had the opportunity to perform in 7 shows since then, including the production of West Side Story that Tech performed last year. Ella was also a part of this year's set crew and had a lot of fun learning all that goes into building sets. Aside from theater, she enjoys art, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and annoying her friends and family with obnoxious singing. She loves acting and performing on stage. Ella is excited to play Nicely-Nicely Johnson in this year's school musical.
Slayter, a junior attending Technology High School, is thrilled to be playing Benny Southstreet in “Guys and Dolls”! He has performed in Technology & Rancho’s High School production, West Side Story sophomore year as Francisca as well as Lawrence E Jones Middle School’s productions, “Chitty Bang Bang” as ensemble in the 7th grade and “Elf” as Santa in the 8th grade. In the past, they had also done choir for three years. Outside of drama, Slayter enjoys illustrating their creations digitally, playing the flute, and creating new outfit ideas. He’s had a fantastic time working with their other cast members and is excited for future productions to come!
Amelia has a long history in musical theater, starting when they were six. They performed in musicals such as Little Shop of Horrors and Legally Blonde for a total of 13 different musicals. They are in eleventh grade at Technology High School and are excited to perform with all their cast members and friends. Having been part of the team making sets for the show, they are excited for everything to come together! Before doing theater they did ballet and various other dances. When not busy performing or hanging out with friends, they enjoy listening to music and doing different types of art. They also have an interest in playing video games and spoiling their three cats.
Ashlynn is currently a freshman at Tech High who is looking forward to playing the part of Officer Brannigan. She has previously taken part in various performances throughout elementary and middle school, and is excited to participate in her first musical as a high schooler and have this to look back on. She enjoys singing, reading, playing the keyboard, skateboarding, and being with her friends and boyfriend. She also enjoys playing volleyball. Being a part of this show has been a valuable experience for her that she appreciates. She hopes that everyone enjoys the show.
Valentino is a freshman at Technology High School. Typecast as a grandpa since fifth grade when he played Grandpa Joe in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, he is excited to play the old man Arvide Abernathy in Guys and Dolls this year. He loves role-playing games and decided drama would be a good way to practice getting into character. Drama turned out to be a lot of fun and he is excited about the production.
Kamala is excited to sing and dance in her second musical as Harry The Horse in Guys and Dolls. She is in 11th grade at Technology High School and is ready to perform. Last year she was Big Deal, a Jet Boy, in West Side Story. When she was younger she did ballet and other dancing styles. However, she recently fell in love with musical theater and its unique choreography. Kamala has always loved studying lyrics to find a deeper meaning. She also performed in choir throughout her childhood and is overjoyed to get to sing with all of their cast members. Kamala loves video games and learning about new topics. This year she also built sets with her engineering team.
Amber Martin is a freshman at Technology High School, and she is grateful for the opportunity to perform in this year’s musical. She has been involved in theater since sixth grade, unfortunately falling in love with the art. She has done three shows in Hillcrest Middle School spring productions, previously playing Rapunzel from Into the Woods and the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz. Amber enjoys reading, volleyball, spending time with her dogs, and baking. She also insists on loving cats, even though she is allergic to them, and prefers villains over heroes since they have a better motive. Most of her time goes into re-learning Japanese, finding continuity errors in movies, and fantasizing about completing that crochet cardigan she started weeks ago.
Shyann is thrilled to perform in this year's musical. She has never been in a performance before, only helping out with the stage crew in the past. She enjoys being able to perform and having fun on stage. Her favorite color is purple.
Kenya makes her first official debut in this year's musical, “Guys and Dolls”. She never expected to have the opportunity to participate in a play, especially during her senior year of high school, but is very grateful for the opportunity to be in the production this year. She always has a lot of energy and loves to be singing and dancing and has finally had a portal for her creativity and vitality. She has a couple of hobbies but not one she's committed to in particular since she loves learning new skills. Some of her favorites to do in her free time are riding her motorcycle, skating around her neighborhood, journaling, and painting. Kenya lives by the motto “YOLO”, which keeps her motivated to try all sorts of new things. Although this is her last year at Technology High School, she’s extremely excited to be ending the year with a production that rewards everyone's hard work and dedication throughout the year.
Soleil is a sophomore at Technology High School. Ever since Soleil was little; she has always been invested in plays and drama-related activities. As of now, Soleil has been in West Side Story; she is very much looking forward to performing in Guys and Dolls. She loves working with all of her peers and enjoys getting helpful feedback from her mentors. Soleil has done many extracurricular activities throughout the years. She has attended a five-week class on SFX makeup (special effects) which includes cuts, scars, and bruises. She has also done basketball for 2 years, played the saxophone for 6 years as well as did cross country for 2 years.
Lexi is a 16-year-old sophomore who has played various roles since she started drama in seventh grade, such as Paloma (West Side Story), Countess De Mur (Nobody to Murder), Antelope (Unmurdered), Ava (Once Upon a Zoom), and Ms. Peabody (Into Thin Heir). She was a cheerleader for 8 years, and used to be a dancer and gymnast.
Haruki is a sophomore at Technology High School. Guys and Dolls is her first theater production and she is excited and ready to make her first debut as one of the awesome cast members of Guys and Dolls. She has been learning ballet since she was three, so she loves dancing to music, and practicing for this show was a good time for her dancing life. Some of Haruki's interests include singing, dancing, music, and art.
Nathen Vasquez is a sophomore at Technology High School. He has only been in one production and is excited and ready for his performance in Guys and Dolls, as the character Angie the Ox. Nathen’s favorite parts of being in the production are singing, doing it with his friends, and the music. His favorite things to do during his spare time are spending time with his family, spending time with his dog, hanging out with friends, and playing sports. His favorite subjects are history, English, and Spanish. Nathen is thrilled to be in his second musical performance and glad to be a part of this production with his friends.
Angelo is thrilled to be performing in his first musical at Tech High! He is a freshman and also on the robotics team. He enjoys singing and acting onstage as well. Some of the previous performing experiences include Sir Harry in Once Upon a Mattress, Ensemble in The Little Mermaid, Ensemble in Elf, and Charlie in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Angelo will next be seen in Sprekles' production of Grease in their Youth Program.
Julianna is a freshman at Tech High. She has some experience with theater as she was a part of her drama class throughout eighth grade and did a production of “Beauty and the Beast’ in sixth grade as Cogsworth. She is excited to reconnect with drama and meet new people. She has always loved dancing and singing and is happy to be able to do it with the creativity and talent of her cast members. Julianna does track, plays guitar, and enjoys writing. She is grateful for this opportunity.
Samiksha Shrestha is excited to be a part of her first show at Tech High as an ensemble. She has shown an interest in acting and dancing at a very young age. In 8th grade, she joined her school's drama class and learned many new things about acting. She also used to dance. During her free time, she likes to play basketball and continue to work on dancing and acting.
Ella is a sophomore who loves doing musicals and anything art. She has previously appeared in productions of Elf Jr, Peter Pan, High School Musical, Annie, Sound of Music, and West Side Story. Some of Ella's interests include dancing, music, and art.
