Meet our Life Group Leaders

Cherry

Hi everyone, my name is Cherry. I’ve been attending Crosspoint church at Milpitas since 2010. I was baptized, together with my husband, in June 2010 at Milpitas church. We have three children, ages 13, 15 and 17. I love spending time with my family, visiting new places, trying different kinds of food, watching baseball and basketball games. We are all pretty outgoing. In my quiet time, I enjoy playing puzzles and making crafts. What I love about serving is to give what I’m blessed with. I hope to share that value with our youth. I also enjoy connecting with our youth, to provide support, to share my experience and to walk with them in this phase of their spiritual journey.

Clement

Hello everyone!  My name is Clement Luk.  I have been attending Crosspoint since 2018.  I grew up in Hong Kong and came to the US for college. Although I grew up in a Christian family, I didn’t fully believe in God until I was in eighth grade–that God wanted to have a personal relationship with me.  I hope that I could help our youth to understand that and accept a personal relationship with God.   I was baptized while I was attending college in Madison, Wisconsin (Yes, Wisconsin snows a lot! And of course, I walked on a frozen lake before).  I have been serving in the children's ministry for about two years before taking up the challenge to lead the youth life’s group.  I like outdoor activities and playing tennis.  I am married with one girl (9) and one boy (11).

Esther

Hi!  I have been attending Crosspoint since 2001.  I grew up in San Francisco and is a proud alumni of Lowell High School and UC Davis.  In my spare time, I love listening to K-pop, trying out new restaurants, and traveling or looking for new places to visit.  Growing up, I had a hard time communicating with my parents and had always looked forward to support from mentors at church.  I hope to be the same support for our youths and I enjoy watching them grow and am always amazed by how much I learn from them as well.  I am married with two boys (14 & 11).

Ethan

Hi y’all!!! My name is Ethan. I have a younger brother 5 years apart, and two loving parents. I have been at Crosspoint my entire life, and I treasure every moment of it. Some hobbies I have are music, saxophone, gaming, magic, reading, basketball, and eating good food, just to name a few. Fact: I can lose to you at arm wrestling. Ever since being involved in the youth ministry, I have grown to enjoy the environment and the pleasures of helping others, and developing close friendships with those I come in contact with. If you ever see me around, just give me a friendly fist bump (I won’t bite)!

Joshua

Hello everyone, my name is Joshua Chan. I’ve been a youth leader for almost 2 years now. I have two older sisters, one that’s 7 years older and the other being 10 years older than me. I love to play badminton, video games, and watch anime in my spare time. One interesting fact about me is that I like to play certain piano songs despite not liking to play piano. What I enjoy most about serving in youth ministry is that it helps me to become a better example for those who look up to me.

Matthew

Hi! My name is Matthew Wong and I have been attending Crosspoint since when I was 5 years old. I mostly attended church regularly, but recently participated in the CSM trip to Los Angeles and served as a life group leader of middle schoolers. Outside of participating in church activities and social gatherings, I practice enhancing my digital art skills and game developing skills to create a surreal experience. Occasionally, I post YouTube videos of my hobbies to create a place in the game developing community. I enjoy watching people around me grow towards their goals and meeting people with unique personalities. Having helped with the life group, I look forward to working with everyone but also connecting with everyone’s life.

Nathan

Hi my name is Nathan, my family and I have been at Crosspoint since I was a kid. I like to play video games and hangout. I enjoy being a small group leader because I get to help people and have fun with them.

Rich

Greetings, my name is Rich. I have a younger brother, and we’re 2 years apart. I have been at Crosspoint since I was 5 years old (now 17), recently returned after quarantine and got baptized here. I like to draw anime and my hobbies also involve anime usually. I also like hanging out with friends, eating food and listening to music. Not really any interesting facts. I enjoy serving in youth ministry because I’ve helped many times in VBS before and it’s been fun leading those that are younger than me, and seeing them slowly become more open with their own thoughts and feelings.

Sam

Hi Everyone, my name is Samuel Lee.  I have been going to Crosspoint Church for about 18 years.   I have been serving the Children's ministry for 10+ years and recently transitioned to Youth ministries.  It is a blessing to witness how God molds every teenager’s heart.  I love to travel to different countries whenever I save enough money.  Additionally, I enjoy playing and coaching tennis in my spare time.  It helps me to destress from the hectic world.  I am married to my lovely wife who led me to Jesus, and we produced 3 amazing beautiful girls (11, 11, 14).  We also have a dog who loves to cuddle.

Susan

I am the mother of a 15-year-old girl.  We all go to Crosspoint, and my husband and I started attending since 2000. I have been the leader for the high school girls for almost 5 years.  Seeing how some of the girls grew up in Him and graduated from high schools is definitely very joyful.  Before joining the youth ministry, I also served in the Children’s Ministry for over 7 years as Sunday School Teacher and Zone Representative.  Outside of church, I am also a civil servant managing multi billion dollars infrastructure projects.  Recently I received a National Lifetime Accomplishment Award as leader in construction, the only female and non-white engineer among the 4 other recipients for the different award categories.  As an immigrant, this is a miracle from God.  With this gift, I have been mentoring a lot of young professionals.  This opens the door for me to share gospels.  Don’t underestimate anything you do in your life for Him.

Wendy

Hello!  My name is Wendy Woo, I have been attending Crosspoint Church since 2000 when I moved to Fremont.  Prior to Crosspoint, I was attending church in San Francisco.  I was serving in the Children’s Ministry at Crosspoint for more than 15 years and then started to serve in the Youth Ministry since 2019.  While serving in these ministries, I enjoy learning and growing with these children and youths; they actually inspired and encouraged me a lot.  It’s most rewarding to see how they are growing physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.  In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, trying new cuisine and recipes. I am a working mom, living in Fremont with my husband, 2 sons, 2 dogs & a tortoise.
