Nursery
Welcome to our Nursery class page. The teachers in Nursery are Mrs Lindop (Monday to Wednesday am) and Mrs Bell (Wednesday pm to Friday). Other adults working in our class include Miss Cohn, Mrs Kwallah and Mrs Taylor.
Listening Walk
As part of our phonics learning, we went on a listening walk around school to listen to different sounds in our environment. We heard all sorts from aeroplanes, to cars to whistles and leaves blowing in the trees. The children listened really well and our super listening ears really helped too!
Coach Gunn
On Friday mornings, we are really lucky and Coach Gunn comes into school to teach us multi-skills. This week we have been working on our ball control.
Nature Sculptures
Nursery loved exploring the outdoor area and finding lots of exciting objects in nature to make their clay faces on the trees. They then went on an autumn colour scavenger hunt and found lots of amazing colours!
Planting Bulbs
Nursery have been very busy weeding the planters in our outside area, as well as the flower beds outside the nursery entrance. They have then planted Spring bulbs and can't wait to see them grow.
Children in Need
Nursery had a 'Spotacular' time for Children in Need day. They baked and decorated 'Pudsey' biscuits, did 'colour by numbers', painted and had to see how many Pudsey Bear cards they could find.
Christmas in Nursery
Nursery enjoyed a trip to The Leeds Playhouse to see 'Stickman.'
Music
Nursery have really enjoyed music. They took part in a 'Boomwhacker' workshop with 'The Beat Goes On' and made their own music when doing Chinese dragon and lion dancing.
