My Educational Philosophy

Personal Life

 I live in Nisswa with my husband Joe and our boys, Landon and Brekkin. Landon is going to college this year in St. Paul at the University of St. Thomas to major in computer engineering. Brekkin is in 10th grade at Peauot Lakes High School and loves robotics. We have three cats named Vanellope, Marshmallow, and Pixley. I enjoy reading, doing puzzles, watching movies, gardening, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. 

Experience

This year marks my 8th year with Crosslake Community School - CCS, and my 1st year teaching in the online elementary program. Most of my time at CCS has been spent teaching Kindergarten and/or 1st grade in the seat-based program. I also taught K-8 intervention and enrichment one year, did my student teaching in a 1st/2nd-grade classroom, and worked in our online program part-time with 9-12 graders as a learning coach. I love teaching. My passion is helping kids find their own love for learning, especially reading:)
