My husband and I have been married over 30 years- time sure does go fast!
I believe all students have worth, strengths, and the ability to succeed. My role as a Learning Coach is to create an environment where students feel safe, respected, and valued, regardless of their background, abilities, or challenges.
My husband and I grew up in Minnesota, but moved to Texas at the end of 1999. We never thought we would live anywhere besides MN, but life has a way of showing you different outcomes. We have enjoyed TX more than we thought; however, I am so glad to be back working in MN at Crosslake Community School! We have 2 children, and as of October 2025, they will both be married. Our oldest has given us a new name/role, "grandparents," and I have to say that this is my favorite role yet!!
When not working, I enjoy reading, traveling, spending time with family here in TX with our adult children and grandchildren, and traveling to MN to visit family and friends there. I also enjoy working out at a local boxing gym.
This is my 28th year in education and my 9th year here at CCS. I have worked with ages 6 weeks to 21 years. I have enjoyed every age group and position, but my current position as a Learning Coach has been my favorite!
I attended and earned my degree at Minnesota State University Moorhead (go Dragons!!)
