I believe that all children should have the opportunity to learn and that each student is unique in their abilities to learn. I strive to teach each student with their unique learning abilities and environment and strive to be an effective teacher for all of my students.
I live on the north side of the Twin Cities in a small suburb with my husband and three very energetic boys. My oldest is in 5th Grade, the middle is in 2nd grade and my youngest is starting Kindergarten! I absolutely love to travel and learn the history of different places I visit, it's actually why I became a Social Studies teacher! My love of travel has led me to 48 out of the 50 states (I'm missing Virginia and Hawaii) and I hope to check those off my list and explore more of the world in the future. I love reading, baking, playing on the Nintendo Switch with my family, crafting and attempting to keep my 50+ house plants alive (don't ask about the cactus 😲).
This is my 3rd year at CCS and 5th year teaching. I have taught all grades 6-12 over my years of teaching and really enjoy teaching Middle School!
I graduated from Winona State University in 2011 with my Bachelors in Social Studies Education and recently graduated in 2025 with a Masters of Education in Ed Tech and Instructional Design.
