BUILDING TRADES INTERNSHIP

The 13-week internship program at Royal Developments offers high school students a unique and comprehensive opportunity to explore building trades. This unpaid internship is designed to provide students with hands-on, immersive experience across all building trades including: welding/fabrication, carpentry, electrical, & plumbing.

Throughout the internship, students will be mentored by experienced professionals, allowing them to observe and participate in active projects happening in the RD warehouse. The program will be centered around the health and safety of all individuals on the warehouse floor. RD will demonstrate proper safe operation practices as students learn a variety of building skills. By rotating through different departments, interns will develop a well-rounded perspective of the challenges and rewards of working in the building trades field, gaining firsthand experience that will inform their educational and career choices in the years to come.

Transportation

The Crossing School of Business and Entrepreneurship is committed to facilitating a smooth and convenient experience for students participating in the 13-week internship at Royal Developments. To ensure that transportation is not a barrier to participation, the school will provide transportation to the internship site each day, enabling students to arrive on time and ready to engage in their daily activities. This arrangement is ideal for students who may not have access to personal transportation or prefer the convenience of organized travel.

In addition to the transportation provided by the school, there is flexibility for students who prefer or require a different arrangement. Students have the option to be dropped off directly at the site by parents or guardians up to 15 minutes before each session begins. This allows for additional convenience and accommodates individual schedules and preferences, ensuring that all students can participate in the internship program without transportation concerns.
