About me:

I am a Crosby Resident that loves to teach Art.  My youngest is a Crosby Graduate and currently attending SFA.  I have one spoiled dog (a corgi) and I am the human servant to 2 spoiled cats.  

My media of choice is Black and White Film Photography.

Art 2

Course Prerequisite - Successful completion of Art 1.  Art Fee Required.

This art course allows students to continue exploring the art elements for line, shape, value, texture, color, form and space while applying the principles of art to develop and create original artworks using a variety of art media. 

Students will analyze, interpret, and evaluate their own artwork as well as those of well-known artists comparing the different styles and techniques used throughout the various periods of art history. This course is designed for students to experiment with a wide variety of media and skills while providing an overview of the conceptual relationship of art to other subject areas. 

Art 3

Course Prerequisite - Successful completion of Art 2.   Art Free Required.

The Art 3 course is instrumental in the development our students.  In this course, the expectations  are significantly elevated.  Since students have chosen to take art for a third consecutive year, so it is assumed that they are interested in the subject and willing to commitment to becoming the best artist that they can be.


AP Art - Drawing and 2D Studio 

Course Prerequisite - Successful completion of Art 3 or being a Senior, having successfully completed Art 2, and having teacher recommendation.  Art Fee Required.

This course is taught using the Syllabus from Collage Board and students in the course are required to submit for review at the end of the course.


Art 2 Scuplture 1

Course Prerequisite: Successful completion of Art 1. Art Fee Required.

Students explore three dimensional form in traditional and nontraditional materials. The student will study form, volume, and space relationships through the exploration of decorative, utilitarian, and conceptual approaches to sculpture. The study of sculptural form in a variety of media during various historical and cultural periods will guide the development of the student's ability to make personal aesthetic and critical judgments. 

Art 3 Scuplture 2

Course Prerequisite: Successful completion of Art 2 Sculpture 1. Art Fee Required.

Students continue to explore the three dimensional forms in traditional and nontraditional materials.  Assignments and student problem solving are more complex with concentration in sculpture, sculpture types, sculpture techniques and the various sculpture media. Sculpture artists, sculpture artist styles, and periods of art history involved with sculpture become a focus.
