8th Grade Math

Welcome to Mrs. Cruz’s Math Class

The goal of this class is to prepare students for their STAAR Test and build underlying skills they will need to be successful in their 9th Grade Algebra 1 class. This will be a unique year for 8th grade students in math.

ABOUT MRS. CRUZ

I am starting my 18th year teaching Mathematics. I have had the pleasure of teaching at CMS for the past 4 year. I earned my Mathematics Bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston in 2005.

My favorite candy is snickers. I love to read mystery novels and watch sporting events.

Classroom Expectations:

Students are supposed to put away their cell phones in their backpacks or my cell phone zone.

Participate in class discussions.

Ask questions when you don't understand.

Complete all assignments listed in schoology folder.
