Ms. Nina Monk

Ms. Monk graduated high school from Port Neches- Groves High School in 2008. She always knew she wanted to be a teacher, so she attended Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas to study English, Reading, and Language Arts. She graduated with her degree from SFASU in 2012. She received her Master's in Education as a Reading Specialist in 2019 from SFASU. She is a proud Lumberjack alumni.

Ms. Monk is entering her 10th year in education. She taught 6th-8th grade ELA in both San Benito CISD and Lufkin ISD. This is her fifth year being apart of the Crosby family. She started her career at Crosby Middle School as an ESL teacher, and is entering her fourth year as the English Specialist.

Ms. Monk strongly believes that reading is an important part of life and is passionate about authentic literacy opportunities.
