To celebrate the Queen's Jubilee, students in Year 7, 8 and 9 have been researching the Queen of fashion throughout her reign. You can see some of the work below. Celebrated for her vibrant colours and impressive collection of hats, Queen Elizabeth has been on the throne for 70 years!

Colourful Queen

Queen Elizabeth II has her own fashion style. It is a reflection of her status, is practical and often brightly coloured. She wears bright colours and hats so that she can be spotted in crowds of people. When she is flying to other countries, she has a black dress on standby just in case someone important dies.

Handbags at the ready...

The queen is often photographed with her handbag at public engagements. What does she keep in there? A packed of Cheese and Onion? Half a bottle of Pepsi? A picture of her Grandchildren? No one really knows! But it is suggested that it's used to signal to her staff that she has had enough and wants to move on.
