Educational Services for the Visually Impaired

ESVI provides the following services for students who are blind or visually impaired ages 3-12 in educational programs:

• • • Consult with preschools, schools, and parents

    • Complete a Learning Media, Functional Media and Orientation and Mobility assessments

    • Demo, loan, and provide instruction and consultation in the use of assistive technology and low vision devices

    • Provide large print or Braille textbooks though the Instructional Materials Center

    • Help develop Support Teams

    • Provide direct instructions in Orientation and Mobility

    • Provide professional development opportunities
