Girl Power Goes State is an innovative student production contest designed to inspire and encourage female students to explore non-traditional careers in manufacturing and construction. Originally launched by DeQueen-Mena ESC, this initiative has rapidly grown into a statewide competition, now involving ten educational cooperatives across Arkansas.
Girl Power Goes State provides female students with hands-on experience using advanced CNC technology, in metal, wood, laser, and multi-tool division. Through an innovation grant funded by the Arkansas Department of Career Education, this initiative also helps schools acquire CNC equipment, ensuring more students have access to cutting-edge technology and career exploration opportunities.
This competition is more than just an event - it's a movement to break barriers, build confidence, and equip female students with the skills they need to thrive in high-demand technical careers.Â
