The 1972 Westside Cougars Scholarship was created by African American students of the 1972 Crisp County High School Graduation Class.  We are willing to offer a $2,000.00 scholarship to help a deserving student enrolling in a HBCU.  To be eligible for the scholarship, graduating senior must also have at least a 3.0 GPA.  

Instructions:

1. Thoroughly read the application before you start to complete any items. 

2. Have two letters of recommendation from two current teachers (Include in the completed scholarship packet).

3. Essay (Details in the link)

4. A copy of your high school transcript.  

5. A copy of your official letter of acceptance from a HBCU.

*Essay Details:  Include  a brief autobiographical sketch that includes your academic achievement, extra-curricular activities such as athletic achievement, awards, leadership roles, work experience and participating in community activities such as church or volunteer work.  Also discuss what degree program you plan to pursue in college and why.  Lastly, discuss your future plans.
