Meet Mrs. Burk

Hi I'm Rhonda Burk, I have been with Crete Public Schools since September of 2015. I started my career with CPS with the Sixpence Program. I loved working with the families in their own homes through this program. After three years with Sixpence, I changed positions to the Early Intervention Team in August 2018. I am currently working on my Masters degree through Concordia University, Seward, NE, in Early Childhood Special Education. I will finish my studies in June 2020.

My husband, Keith and I will be celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary in June. We have two boys, Josiah, who lives and works in Lincoln, and Seth, a Music Major at UNL, starting his Sophomore year in August 2019.

My family lives in Hastings, so I am blessed to be close to them. I enjoy getting together with my family for graduations, weddings, and other celebrations. My husband is from Michigan, so we make that trip twice a year to see his side of the family.

I taught five years in Port Hope, MI, teaching K-2 and K-8 music, four years in North Tonawanda, NY, teaching Grade 1 and 1-8 music, one year at Lambs of Christ Preschool, in Crete, NE, four years at Tobias, NE, 1-4, and K-8 music, and seven years in Lincoln, NE, 4-8, then 3-6, with K-8 music.
