Meet Mr. Spence

Hello! My name is Derek Spence and I am the K-4 Art instructor for the Crete Public Schools. I am currently teaching my 17th year of elementary art, all in the Crete Public Schools district. I love art and more importantly I love TEACHING children art! I received my undergraduate degree through Wayne State College in 2002, and then finished up my Masters Degree in Art Education through UNK. My favorite medium to use in art is acrylic paints, but I also enjoy watercolor, sculpture, and drawing.

I am also the head men's soccer coach.
