The elementary school uses the Wonders reading curriculum. It has a foundation in the science of reading and will have the students reading books both in their hands and on their computers. It provides opportunities for students to navigate complex texts using various comprehension strategies such as making predictions, visualizing, and summarizing. Students will analyze a variety of texts using skills such as cause and effect, compare and contrast, and story elements. It also provides opportunities for students to respond to what they are reading, as well as write for a variety of audiences and purposes.
